Cotton Man
Horror

While on holiday a man’s young daughter finds an odd looking stuffed toy rat in a playground. That night, in the dark, the rat comes to life and unintentionally bites the father, passing on a contagious disease.
Need to develop script…
Second scene father hears nibbling and when turning on the kitchen light sees the toy rat with biscuits and crumbs. Thinks it’s a joke, but hears it again when the light is off. Uses his phone light to see the rat change from toy to live, get’s bitten when picking up the rat and light goes off, when family investigate screams and turn on the light, the toy rat’s mouth is ‘stitched in to the father’s hand.’ The father cuts up the toy rat, but too late – he’s infected.
In a later scene when the family knows what the situation is and is living as normal as possible, their ‘cotton man’ is mauled by a dog while camping and they have till dark to sew him back up. Or, during an emergency, they ask the ambulance to keep the light on him so he doesn’t bleed out.
What else can we do with this concept?
